Cobalt blue embroidery of flora and animals in cascades embedded into the ivory cotton, form the front of this handmade dress. Otomi, Mexico is know for this style of embroidery, sometimes in a single color and other times a mix of bright and bold colors. There are two zippers that are used on the front left and right sides in order to snatch in the waist after the garment is placed on. I have found no label that leads me to believe this is a modern interpretation of the traditional embroidery style to create a garment that will fit a more contemporary style while paying homage to the tradition. With no care tag, I would recommend hand wash in gentle soap with hang dry.
