This shoulderlet, aptly named for it just covers the shoulders, is hand knit on my knitting machine. I used yarns that reminded me of the sea and played with a paper yarn to add a little texture contrast. The item was then felted in order to tighten the wave structure which has been knit into the fabric itself. The felting helps to firm up and create a density of the wool that will help keep air out. If you want warm- you want felted wool! (I mean have you ever seen a cold sheep?!)
