Due to the wave texture and the subsequent felting of the wool in the back there is a layer of warmth to keep the back of your neck well covered. The plain side is created from a very special organic cotton grown in the US and the color is not dye but instead an heirloom seed of cotton that is subtle in color. This shade of brown is set to deepen in color as it ages and as the piece is washed. We recommend that is done by hand.
